Spring is when you feel like whistling even with a shoe full of slush.

The kids have a cold. The nasty croopy cough and breathing you can hear a mile away. So I stayed home with them today. Zoey likes to take medicine so that is going well. It is snowing out. We've probably got about 2 inches. Isaac did not notice that it was snowing earlier. It kinda threw him for a loop. He made a track for me to follow, since with the snow you could not see the difference between the driveway and the yard. He was very happy to help with that as he really thought we would get lost. On the way to go get more medicine, Isaac said that it can't snow in the spring because we can't have two winters in a row. He says he wants it to be spring all the time.

Ufda... a lot of stuff

Isaac made a scrapbook page for his class.

The kids had a good Easter, even though Isaac says the Easter Bunny didn't do a very good job of hiding the eggs.

Zoey and Emily got to have a sleep over.

Isaac had a blast hanging out with good friends Kinley, Sydney and Kaidyn.

Zoey was so excited to see Eric!

This is So not the video I wanted, but I can't figure out how to delete it. So enjoy it AGAIN.

Horton Hears a Who?

I took the kids to see Horton Hears a Who. I was amazed at how good it was. I was very leary, with it being a Jim Carey movie and all, but I really liked it and so did the kids. Ike of course was great. He got to sit by his friend Nathan. Zoey only had to go potty once. She got a little scared during a scene with a vulture. There was a part where Horton was very happy--so happy in fact he thought about pooping butterflies. Zoey turns and looks at me and says in a nice loud voice--"You can't poop butterflies".
Also this week, I decided that Zoey was ready for Sunday School. Last fall they wouldn't let me register her, but she is three and she is ready so I just asked if she could stay with Isaac and Sidney and see how things went. She loved it. Probably helped it was Palm Sunday and she got to carry two palms to the front of the church.

The one thing children wear out faster than shoes is parents.

Spring season started Monday. Up to my eyeballs again in paperwork. Monday I also dropped off my car to finally get it fixed. It will be done this afternoon. For like the 4th time or so--it should like new again. I am currently driving around in a rental (2007 Chevy Cobalt) Isaac likes it because he can roll down the windows with his feet. Yesterday I bought Ike a Gatorade. I was happy he liked it and it really isn't all bad for him. I said "That stuff isn't too bad." Ike said, "Yeah, its got minerals in it." Like DA Mom. I say "How do you know about minerals?" He says "Minerals help keep us alive mom." I guess Mom just needs to keep up!!

If I had to sum up Friendship in one word, it would be Comfort. ~Adabella Radici

I decided to take a road trip. To Gillette. I said, "Chris, we should go to Gillette." He said, "O.k." We had a little difficulty nailing down the specific weekend I wanted to go. It was a little spuraticcy (jara word). The roads were good. The weather was good. The kids were good. And it was absolutely fabulous to see our friends!! Thank you so much for a pleasant and relaxing weekend.
We got a hotel room a couple of nights. The kids enjoyed swimming and Zoey liked the "hot pool"--so did mommy. Isaac was happy to play with Sydney and some with Kaidyn. I think the only trouble we had was on the way home. Chris stopped at a park for the kids to play. This particular one looked like a castle and was Zoey's fantasy. She finally decided which slide to go down first started to climb up and realized she had to potty. She did not go down the slide. We looked, but no potty. So we get back in the car, stop at a gas station, get some snacks and on the road we go. This happened in Helena. The ENTIRE rest of the way home Zoey says--let's go to the castle. It's back there. I think we need to turn around. I wanna go to the castle.-- In my opinion if you are going to build a castle (especially for little ones) don't forget the potty!!
On a side note my cousin Jeremy and his wife Sarah had a baby girl last monday. Vivian Mae. 7 lbs 9 oz 19inches long

A little girl is sugar and spice and everything nice - especially when she's taking a nap. ~Author Unknown

It was almost odd today coming to the training room. I haven't been here since Thursday--had to check and make sure everything was still in its proper place. Unfortunately, both the boys and the girls lost in the playoffs and will not be attending the state tournament. No Practice this week.
So the weekend was pretty relaxed. Friday I worked a half day and it was jean day! Fabulous!! Friday was also Isaac's favorite day. It was the last day of February, movie and jammie day (due to leap year) and a class trip to the dentists office. He had been looking forward to this day for so long and was so nervous he was going to miss out. While he was on his field trip, Chris and Zoey went fishin'. Chris has finally figured out how to take her fishing and not have to come home after only 45 min. He brought her potty chair. She won't go outside, but I guess the potty chair out there makes quite the difference. The three went fishing again on Saturday, but no fish were caught this weekend. We watched a ton of Sponge Bob and I got spooked watching Gothica by myself. Since they went fishing Saturday morning--I went knitting in Kalispell.
I cooked, cleaned, knitted, played a couple games of sequence, and Isaac rode his bike to the park at least 5 times before wiping out in the mud of our driveway wearing his favorite khaki church pants.
Zoey I would like to add has (knock on wood) slept through the night for 2 months now. I am so proud of her. She is not the same early riser she used to be. She likes to sleep until 7 or so now. So when I go in to get the kids up in the morning she usually says "Isaac first" or "I am still napping" or "I am not ready yet Mom". And there is a bear cage I am not willing to put my hand in--So I go for Ike first. Yesterday I got her to sleep twice. Once for her nap after Chris told me she hasn't been napping in the afternoon. And once at night. Like late at night after we heard her running around their room several times. But both times I went up and we were both calm and she let me lay by her and massage her face. She LOVES that, but on her own time of course. It took less than 5 minutes for her to be out. And this may be early--but I am hoping to be done with pullups soon too. I think IF I can get her to go potty before bed and POSSIBLY not drink so much before bed--we could be in great shape. After 5 straight years of diapers I won't know what to do with my extra time.
