O.K. I'm Back!

Whew! O.K. it took me a minute to get back on track, but we are ready to go now. This blog may be a bit overloaded as I never know when to stop and just keep going and going and going...

I only took 227 pictures from my trip and will add a couple to the blog. Our trip home was fine. We stopped on the side of the road several times to go potty (Wyoming and Montana just don't have one every couple of miles you know). The kids were tired of the car, but did very well.

I wanted to recap some of my trip. I had a wonderful time seeing everyone and thank you to everyone who fed us, housed us, let us stop in to rest from long car trips and of course to those who watched my kids!

Our first big event was Jennifer's wedding. It was spectacular! I also was able to see much of my family that I hadn't met yet (with weddings and births our family tree is just blossoming).
After the wedding we spent a week in Longville, MN fishing, tubing and turtle racing with Chris's family.

During the turtle races, Dugan won first with his turtle. The rest of the kids were in a seperate race. Isaac's turtle was the fastest, but stopped an inch from the finish line and Zoey's turtle won slow poke (didn't go anywhere). We stopped at Animal Land where the kids got to feed deer, donkeys, goats.

I spent a weekend in Winona for a girls weekend. We all met in college, so we went back and had a fun weekend just for us.
We ended our trip with a Rogne family reunion at my brother John's house. We played baseball and that was a lot of fun. I really wish I had taken pictures of that. The rest of my pictures will be posted at random times. But I do have some more cute pics of the kids and the blog is such an easy way to get them out without copying and sending.

Going on Week 3

So what does it mean when an 83 year old man helps you cheat at Kroque and still beats you by about 10 minutes! We tried to teach the kids and we had fun but were definately out played. Grandpa has been fun to hang around with. He has been playing games like Uno and Pente with Isaac. Isaac is just thrilled to have someone sit down and play with him! They are quite the pair. Zoey has warmed up to him as well, but is always intimidating to anyone she meets! He has been taking us to the park and we went to Mark and Deanna's yesterday. The kids got to see their cows, climb on the fence and Zoey got to ride one of the horses. It was only for a couple of seconds as one of the other horses spooked Zoey, but it was a ride none the less.
On Tuesday we went to the Quarry Hill Nature Center in Rochester. The kids had a blast.

After a picnic supper we went to watch Kyle's baseball game. Kyle is an amazing baseball player--throwing strikes when he was pitching and he played all infield possitions.

Wednesday we went to John's so the kids could play. We put up the slip and slide and the kids got all full of mud. Isaac and Kyle made a fort out of large cardboard boxes. No girls allowed of course, so they built a seperate one for the girls. We had a supper for John's belated birthday. I got to play Guitar Hero. I was surprized at how much I enjoyed it. I sucked, but the video said I Rocked!!

Busy, Busy Weekend!

This past weekend my children stayed with the Soost Family. We had lunch with Aunt Amy, Aunt Kim, and cousin Libby on Friday. They had sleep overs with cousins Autumn, Dugan and Brooke (thankyou Kristi) and of course spent a lot of time on the farm with Grandma Deb and Grandpa Wayne. Isaac was very excited about his stay. He got to feed the pigs and cows and made friends with the puppy Chester. They went to Great Grandma Bessy's and played with even more family. Some where in there they had time for swimming and playing at the park. They were 100% worn out!! I think they slept until 6pm then I woke them up to eat supper. They were missed over the weekend and I was missed in return. I don't think I have held Isaac that much since he was baby!
I also had a fabulous weekend. I met my college friends in Winona, MN. We were able to chat and catch up on things. We went to campus and check out how things have changed. And all of this with no interruptions from the little ones. Thanks to all of our men for giving us this time, it was much needed. I have wonderful friends--Thank you for some MUCH needed girl time.

We Are Here

I can't believe it, we made it to Minnesota!!! Not only did we make it, but the ride was enjoyable. The kids were wonderful. Zoey was even nice enough to not tinkle in her carseat! Double bonus. We stopped in Gillette to eat at Humphrey's with some friends and spent the night at LeaAnn's house. Isaac was up all night with Kaidyn, but they really missed eachother and played well. Thanks LeaAnn for everything (she got to go to work at 5am the next morning after such a long night).

Saturday we got dressed up for my cousin Jennifer's wedding. It was fabulous. Congrats to you two. I met lots of new family members, which was fun. I will have pictures to send after I return to Montana. I didn't bring the USB cord with me. So sorry if there is picture overload when I get back. Saturday night I was going to stay at Kevin's house. Apparently he gave me excellent directions, but I got lost and spent the night at a hotel in Princeton. Isaac was very excited about it. He said "Wow, this a fancy hotel Mom!" We went to leave and our beds were not made he said "We need to clean up this mess Mom!" I had to explain to him maid service.

We found our way to Longville without getting lost. It rained the first day so the kids got to play in the mud puddles. We did a lot of fishing, some tubing and kneeboarding. Our family has grown so much, but it was good to spend time with everyone. The kids entered the turtle races. Dugan's turtle won fastest turtle. Isaac's was the fastest turtle, but stopped about an inch from the finish line and refused to go anywhere else. Zoey won slowpoke.

So after being here just over a week I am tired out!! The allergies are setting in. But I am pretty much still in denial, so I don't know if I really need to take anything.

Well, time to go as I may get to blog some as the trip goes on. And I am sure that some of this will get repeated when I post the pictures.
